Bobby & Marga

Crowne Plaza and Christ the King Church
with Dominic Barrios

Last wedding of 2008! Marga is a teacher and Bobby works as a photographer in LA… no pressure there.. LoL :D In the bridal suite, it was a riot! There were people everywhere. :) On the other hand, there were only 3 people in Bobby’s room. Winner! :D One of his friends flew all the way from the US and arrived in Manila not knowing anyone and having no clue where to go. Luckily, he was able to arrive in the hotel that day. Back to the bridal suite, everyone wanted to have their picture taken with Marga. You could really sense the closeness of their family, especially when her sisters helped her dress up.

Since New Year was just around the corner, everyone was in a party mode during the reception. The guests really stayed till the end of the program.. and even after that they still spent a lot of time celebrating Bobby and Marga’s special day :)

Mark & Elza

Hotel Sofitel, Manila Cathedral and One Esplanade
with John Mateos Ong & Mike Tan

It’s always a blast shooting a “San Miguel Wedding!” No, it’s not because of the free booze I get afterward, but it’s because I get to see a lot of familiar faces… kayo naman oh! hehehe :D and the fact that they’re always a crazy bunch of people (that’s a compliment, mind you)

Preps pa lang there were already cans of beer ready to be disposed of.. and trust the groomsmen to do just that while waiting for their turn in the pictorial. First time to have a Best Woman help the groom dress up. Good job Mic! :D It was also my first time to do a Cathedral wedding… Given all the rules you had to follow, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be..

Sir Jong assigned me to the reception while he did the in-betweens so I had a lot of time going around and taking pictures of people. The song that would best describe that moment would be R.E.M.’s Shiny Happy People.. LoL! :D It was definitely the most colorful reception I’ve been to. And living up to the San Miguel reputation, it was super laid back. Guests were actually required to be in their Flip Flops! Nice! :D

Ninoy & Cherry

Astoria Hotel, Christ the King and Green Meadows Clubhouse
with Carlo Cecilio and Riz

The day started out well because we were working with friends, namely Jesy Alto and Steve Pagsanjan. So the mood was jolly and light and even Cherry seemed well rested. Her mum, on the other hand, was a bit stressed. She kept on worrying about the littlest details. Good thing Steve brought along his bag of antics which eventually put her at ease. :)

I haven’t shot with Carlo in a long time so it was a blast working, or should i dare say playing, with him again. We took the couple to the secret garden where we witnessed how fast Cherry can run.. hehe. She thought the guard dogs were running towards her, so in the blink of an eye, she was like 5 feet from where she was standing. :D

Brian & Cleo

EDSA Shang, Mt. Carmel and Oasis
with John Mateos Ong

These guys couldn’t wait till after the reception to open their presents, so preps pa lang they opened each other’s gifts na.. Cleo got an LV bag and Brian got tickets to see the Australian Open lang naman… haha :D
I loved their reception because they were able to completely transform Oasis into something else! It didn’t look like the pavillion at all. Pretty! :D They also had a photo exhibit of their PreNup pictures by the garden, which served as eye candy for the people having cocktails there. All in all, it was a beautiful night well deserved by this lovely couple :)

Mon & Mitch

12.20.08
Manila Penn, St. Michael Archangel and Blue Leaf

I was initially assigned to do another wedding out of town (starts with a B ends with a Y.. hehe), but God had other plans and transferred me to Mon and Mitch… not complaining though. I had so much fun shooting their wedding! Preps pa lang I knew that it was going to be a fun day because the couple were very easy to work with. The mood was light and everyone around us seemed happy to be part of this special day. :) The groom had us all laughing… sobrang kulit!! until his thank you speech, Mon was still making everyone laugh. :)
